There will be the risk of hail and thunder and later across northeast England and eastern Scotland there will be longer spells of rain from the East.

A cloudy start this morning with showers across most places. Longer spells of rain at first for southern Scotland.
The showers will continue into this afternoon with some heavy downpours across central and eastern England and Scotland.
There will be the risk of hail and thunder and later across northeast England and eastern Scotland there will be longer spells of rain from the East.
Southwestern areas of England will have the best of the driest and brightest weather.
Some decent sunshine too for western Ireland and western Scotland.
Tonight showery light rain in eastern Scotland will spread westwards to the rest of Scotland.
Elsewhere the daytime showers will disappear leaving it drier with clear spells over central and southern parts.
Quite a cloudy night across eastern areas of Britain.
A few isolated showers likely across southwest England and west Wales.
Friday will see little change in the weather, another day of sunny spells and showers.
Once again the showers will be locally heavy with the risk of hail and thunder.
The showers will be slow moving giving some torrential downpours to Scotland.Sky News
