FRIUIT THEMED Apple will launch its mobile operating system (OS) update, IOS 5 tomorrow starting at midnight.
The update will then roll out globally, coming to the UK towards the end of the day or at the start of the following day, Apple staff in London told The INQUIRER.
IOS 5, which adds tabbed browsing, has 200 features such as a notifications centre to see notifications on the lock screen, and swipe to go directly to that app. It also allows users to create reminders, which can be location based.
Meanwhile, Imessage is a new Apple messaging service between IOS users. Apple has also integrated Twitter with its OS and into many of the built-in apps, like photos.
The camera software has also had an update and users can edit photos, as well as get to the camera from the lock screen.
The cappuccino company has also launched a bizarre app that allows users to create cards on their Iphones, and it will print them out and Apple will emboss them. Another new app called "Find My Friends" allows users to see their friends' locations and can be switched on and off.
The update will be available on Iphone models 3GS and higher. Check back for our hands on trial of IOS 5 tomorrow. µ
