CHINESE PHONE MAKER Huawei announced on Friday that its flagship Huawei Ascend P2 smartphone will be coming to the UK next month, and Three has revealed that it will be amongst the first to offer the handset.
Huawei unveiled the Ascend P2 at this year's Mobile World Congress, touting the device as the "world's fastest" 4G smartphone able to handle speeds of up to 150Mbit/s. The 8.4mm thick phone also boasts a quad-core 1.5GHz processor, a 4.7in 1280x720 screen, a 13MP rear-facing camera, a 2,420mAh battery and 16GB of internal storage.
Despite its lack of 4G services, Three has become the first network to announce that it will be selling the Huawei Ascend P2 - having uploaded a "first look" video of the handset on Youtube. It's also revealed that the phone will support its 4G network when it launches later this year.
It's likely that EE will also be offering the handset, and we've contacted the mobile operator for more information.

Huawei Device UK and Ireland EVP Mark Mitchinson said, "The Ascend P2 offers exceptional design, power and functionality at the higher end of the market. With it, UK customers can enjoy the maximum network speeds available from their network operators, right now and in the future.
"The Ascend P2 is built to enable next-generation 4G speeds so users can keep pace with the very latest technologies from their network providers and access and uploadmobile content as fast as possible."
