New York remembers 9/11
New York City started commemorating the eighth anniversary on the attacks on the World Trade Center Friday morning.
The ceremony is being held at Ground Zero, where the twin towers stood, to remember those who died in the coordinated attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.The ceremony is chaired by New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who requested all attenders to stand in salience to pay tribute to those killed in the terror attacks eight years ago. A flute player is playing a somber tune while survivors of the victims are standing in the drizzle falling from a black sky, reading the names of their loved ones. Some still burst into tears although the tragedy happened years ago.
