France, Croatia, and Czech enter last eight
France, Croatia and the Czech Republic have reached the Davis Cup quarterfinals on Saturday.
Tommy Robredo and Marcel Granollers came through for defending champion Spain to lead the gritty Swiss 2-1, and David Nalbandian helped swing the tie in Stockholm in Argentina's favour.
Meanwhile, Nicolas Massu and Fernando Gonzalez each won their singles in four sets against Israel to give Chile's first-round tie a much-needed positive start.
Spain moves up
David Ferrer sent Spain into the Davis Cup quarterfinals by beating Switzerland's Stanislas Wawrinka 6-2, 6-4, 6-0 Sunday in the first reverse singles match.
The win gave Spain an unassailable 3—1 lead.
