Klose to miss two Euro qualifiers

BERLIN: Germany striker Miroslav Klose will miss Euro 2012 football qualifiers against Austria and Azerbaijan through injury, the German football federation announced on Monday.

Klose, who is second in the German National side's all-time scorers list with 61 goals, suffered bruised ribs in the 2-1 victory over Uruguay in a friendly on Sunday. Sami Khedira is also in doubt for the games against Austria in Vienna on Friday, and Azerbaijan in Baku on June 7 because of a nagging groin problem. — AFP
